22 September - 8 October

Our capital has always been a centre of interesting events, a historical and cultural centre, a city where you can have a good rest, see something new, and have fun. Over the last year and a half, Kyiv has become a symbol of Ukraine's resilience, steadfastness, and independence. The world has learnt the name of our city. It is already clear that its character has acquired new, strong and expressive features. Our students tried to visually express the new character of Kyiv, without forgetting its important eternal components, by working on the development of graphic forms and visualising them both in the urban environment and on popular media.

This educational and experimental project aims to showcase the diversity of visions of the visual face of the capital and the creativity of the young generation of Ukrainian designers. We dream of a life without war, and we are already thinking about its challenges. We are looking to the future after the Victory, imagining what the new image of our city could look like.

The Kyiv Iconic event is a platform for identifying talented young designers, promoting the development of Kyiv's cultural environment, and an occasion to reflect on the visual face of our city. The exhibition reflects various aspects of its life: history, culture, architecture, and urban modernity.

The exhibition also features projects that emphasise the iconic nature of our city: author's visual metaphorical stories about Kyiv, calendars with different moods and characters. Everything about Kyiv is iconic.

During the visit, each guest of the exhibition will have the opportunity to identify the most interesting project in his or her opinion.

The project is supported by the Sholem Aleichem Charitable Foundation and the Israeli Medical Mission in Ukraine.
