The series "Warriors of Light" tells about the historical revolutionary and military events experienced by the artist during his stay in Ukraine in 2013-2015. Previously, these works were exhibited in museums and galleries around the world, and now they will be shown in Ukraine to support the country during the war.

On October 10, the Russian army launched a massive missile attack on the main cultural institutions of Ukraine. The building of the National Museum "Kyiv Art Gallery" was also damaged. Then the exhibition activity was stopped, but later the museum returned to its usual work. Finally, it was decided to return the exhibition to the walls of the museum.

The "Warriors of Light" series was created on the basis of the emotional imprint that the Maidan of 2014 left in Max Vityk's mind. In 2013, the artist came to Ukraine after a long period of living in Canada and the USA. He was impressed by the explosive energy that prevailed among the participants of the Revolution of Dignity and their personalities. This energy is conveyed by his bright and dynamic canvases. His background in geology is also organically woven into the artist's creative method, which helped him create a unique new writing technique. His canvases seem to be covered with geological formations and stone textures. "Now, after the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, these works have acquired new meaning and even greater relevance for me. I understood that I had to show them here, at home - in Ukraine," the artist notes.
