10 March – 16 April 2023

Exhibition "Open space. Chronicles of Transition" by Workshops of Formal Art (NAOMA) includes the works of teachers, students, graduates, which are reflections of young artists on the city, communications, war, mentality, modernity and their changes.

The curators of the exhibition imagine the city as a node, a point of intersection of realities and their players, a territory outlined by a schematic border on a map, static in its beginning. Processes and phenomena that permeate the city with wires make it dynamic. The tension that pulses in the "veins" of the city becomes greater or less depending on the strength of the flow of information, communications, technological development, problems and their solutions, and, at the same time, loneliness. The city dweller finds himself at the starting point of realities that are happening here and now. It is this understanding of the city and the processes around and within it that the young artists of NAOMA strive to convey.

Exhibition "Open space. Chronicles of transition" becomes a territory of statics and dynamics at the same time, where each individual artist and the workshop as a whole create a zone of dialogue: with themselves, the audience and the city.
