The artistic photo project "The feeling of the present" is the reaction of artists to what is happening around us. While there are disputes about the nature of beauty, Ukrainian photo artists explore its essence every day. These paths are thorny and not always grateful.

True beauty has a quality that is very difficult to explain in words. No logic or algorithm works here. It cannot be investigated from the point of view of utility, with the help of mathematics or psychology. Sometimes things that are far from ideal or that are just paving their way to harmony seem beautiful.

The process of finding beauty is always difficult. Only later does the artist understand that it is given to us from above as talent and inspiration. Beauty has a divine essence. The sense of the divine beauty allows us to separate the harmonious from the inauspicious.

Art is quite a lonely thing. Artists need individual dialogues with the divine and beautiful. These conversations are rather subtle matters and observers are unnecessary. The dialogues are intimate, about what worries the artist at this very moment. Photo artists use a camera to transfer the remnants of these conversations to paper. And thanks to the masters, we can touch the beautiful.

True art is the antidote to the embarrassing reality and the hopeless pessimism it produces. It creates and affirms new narratives, possibly of a higher reality, which give society new meanings of being.

Project participants showed their vision of the present, sometimes absurd, but beautiful.
